Koto Dining is a refined Japanese restaurant that brings together cultural depth, architectural sensitivity, and high-end design. Located within a culturally rich precinct, the project involved a complete fit-out that celebrates traditional Japanese principles while responding to the character of the existing building.

The design focuses on balance, harmony, and precision. High-end finishes including natural timbers, stone surfaces, and soft, ambient lighting were chosen to create a calm and elegant dining environment. Every detail was carefully considered to reflect the essence of Japanese architecture while offering a contemporary and luxurious experience.

A key challenge in this project was integrating new finishes with the original architecture of the building. Rather than compete with the existing structure, the design approach focused on complementing it. The result is a seamless blend of old and new, where the integrity of the original building is respected and enhanced by the refined new interiors.

Outside, the connection to Japanese design continues through a carefully composed landscape inspired by traditional Japanese garden architecture. Minimalist planting, gravel elements, and sculptural stones create a peaceful and immersive entry experience. This landscape design not only grounds the building within its setting but also supports a sense of tranquillity that extends throughout the venue.
